Artbooks

There are two official artbooks for the Lunar series (not counting any of the strategy guides). Both are gorgeous, with high-res images from the games cutscenes, early- and late-stage concept art, creator interviews, and more. We have some selected scans below, and a few selected translations from the Lunar I+II Artbook.

Lunar I+II Official Artbook
(Lunar I-II The Silver Star & Eternal Blue, 公式設定資料集)

Published: April 6, 1995 by SOFTBANK CORP.

This is a fantastic artbook with tons of design details, notes, and interviews, about the original Sega CD games. Most of the focus is on Eternal Blue, with some notes on The Silver Star, and the continuity.

Lunar Silver Star Story Newtype 100% Collection
Published: April 30, 1997 by Kadokawa Shoten

This artbook centers around the artwork and creation of Lunar: Silver Star Story, for the Sega Saturn (and later Playstation). This has mostly images from the game, some concept art for locations, and a lot of background on the creators and voice actors (sorry it's a little too much for us to translate it all...).
