Artwork - Fanart Edition
I debated on where to put this artwork, since it technically falls under both official artwork and fanartwork, but ultimately decided to give it a page in the SSSC section. The below artwork was submitted to me in early 2008 by Armen Mardirossian, who did the artwork for the fanart edition of LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete. The fanart edition is a hard-sought item in the LUNAR merchandising realm, and he felt fans would appreciate seeing the artwork in it's full form. The first two images are the actual CD art that was used on the fanart edition of SSSC. The second two images are original fanart he submitted to the old Working Design fanart section. All four are beautiful pieces of artwork. Click each one for full size! Below the artwork, I have also included Armen's message to us regarding the artwork. It makes for a nice bit of information about the artwork!

Hi,
It's been so many years since anything notable happened concerning a third episode
in the Lunar series, yet Lunar-Net is still here :)
I'm writing to you because I'm the person who drew the disc artworks for the fan art
version of Lunar SSSC back then in 2001, and I wanted to know if you would be
interested if I sent you the 2 images used for it.
I can also send you 2 other artworks, that I had submitted to the Working Designs
fan art contests around 2000.
(I guess those pictures were what convinced them to ask me to do the disc arts.)
For the little story, I received a letter around december 2001 from Nicole Huggins
of WD (as they seem to have encountered problems to contact me via email) asking if
I was interested to produce some artwork.
I sent a couple of proposition sketches adopting a square format and fitting between
the different logotypes found on the disc.
According to what they said, there wasn't much time left when it came to the deadline.
Unfortunately, the 2 pictures had to be completed in a very short period of time
(approximately 2 days) that's why the compositions and effects are less complex than
in the 2 previous artworks I had submitted to the fan art contests. The parcel was
sent via fedex at the end of december 2001.
As Working Designs is no more and so much time has passed since the LUNAR Fanart
version release, I thought it was the right time to contact you to know if you would
be interested by these pictures.
Sincerely,
Armen M.
