LUNAR 3 - Lunar on Newer Systems - 2004

Nothing really new has been said other than the always rampant rumors. A few things such as IGN listing Lunar 3 as a release in 2005 have happened, but it's not like IGNs ever been on target with Lunar information. (Remember, IGN originally stated a Dreamcast remake of Lunar 2 was coming) Lunar Legend was released a few years ago, and GameArts and Kadokawa Shoten have both renewed their LUNAR liscense recently. Take that for what it is. :)

There is still always the possibility of a new LUNAR game in the future. Noone expected Lunar Legend, and we got that. Whether we ever get a Lunar 3 or not, who knows, but I think it's worth noting that Lunar Legend came along when people had pretty much given up any thought that the series would get another game. Keep that in mind. There are also a number of new platforms that look interesting. The PSP could take a port of the Playstation games for sure. The DS would be great for high quality 2D Lunar. (just as the GBA was for Lunar Legend)
